Isaiah 22-26

You built a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the Old Pool,

but you did not look to the One who made it,

or have regard for the One who planned it long ago. Isaiah 22:11

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast,

because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3

Many nations were warned about their sin, God’s coming wrath and the devastation of the earth. Israel preferred to rely on themselves rather than the Creator of the Universe. After prophesying, Isaiah worshipped and praised God. Those who focused on God would have peace of mind, because they trusted in Him.

I have a friend, like Isaiah, who people avoid when she shares her gift of prophecy.  The word of God is good news, for those who trust and obey, but for those who reject God it is bad news.  Change was as hard for Israel as it is for me. I was admonished by a fellow Christian once.  After my anger subsided, I realized he was right, but it took ten years before I addressed it. Only major heartache yielded major changes. I am thankful that my Creator will complete his good work  and keep me in perfect peace as I trust in Him.  For that I am ever praising Him.

You are an awesome and merciful God of second and third chances.
I’m sorry I need so much reminding, but I thank you for your patience.
Thank you for counseling me through your word and helping me change.
Bring your word forth to redeem the lost that they may not incur your wrath.
Thank you for sending your Son Jesus in whose precious Name I pray. Amen
