Ezekiel 37-39

Scripture

“My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.” Ezekiel 37:27 (NIV)

Observation

God really wants to call his people back to him. He’s talking of a time in the future–a nation under one king.

Application

For the longest time, I had a hard time believing I was really part of God’s family. Felt kind of like someone crashing the family reunion, hoping no one would notice I didn’t belong. But times of reflection over the years, and this journey through the Bible, have helped me approach him and call him Father with confidence, security, and gratitude. I can shake off my insecurities of not fitting in. He loves me. And I am his.

Prayer

Thank you, Father, for your great mercy–and your great love for the world. Amen.
