Hosea 1-6

Scripture

“Come let us return to the Lord.  He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds” Hosea 6:1 NIV

 Observation

We can turn to God and return to Him.   God allows us to be torn in areas of our lives; he doesn’t shelter us from circumstances of this world.  We are negatively affected by living in a sinful world.  God will heal all our wounds.

 Application

God doesn’t shelter His people from the problems of the world.  He allows things to happen and it’s not always easy to understand.  Sometimes things happen to get our attention.  I know for me that when I’m having pain physical or emotional I do feel the need to go to God and return to Him.  I receive comfort through prayer about the problem and I feel closer to Him.  I’m so grateful that He understands all my weaknesses and that He is so willing to provide comfort. 

Prayer

Lord thank you for comfort when I’m hurting.  Help me to share that comfort with those around me.  I pray that I can be more like You.  Amen
