Matthew 7-9

Scripture

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”  Matthew 7:7-8 

Observation

• Ask God for needs for yourself and others. 
• Seek answers from God, seek knowledge and wisdom. 
• Knock – be persistant. 
• Keep the lines of communication open to God, don’t shut Him out of your life. 

 Application

I really like these verses eventhough, to be honest, I don’t always apply them to my life.  In these verses God challenges us to come to him for our needs.  His desire is provide all of our needs.   These verses require us to be humble and vunerable before God. We have to go outside of ourselves and our human capabilities and look to the Lord to take care of us.  Eventhough I fail often to ask, seek and knock I want to keep pressing ahead and to not give up.  Our God is a great God and he knows my weakness, he dosent demand that I be perfect in myself only to come to Him with my needs and ask, seek, knock.

 Prayer

Lord you are so incredible.  The love you continually extend to your children is hard to grasp.  Forgive me Lord for not praying often enough and bringing all my needs to you. Help me to continue on this journey with You. Amen
