Leviticus 16; Psalms 19; Proverbs 30; 1 Timothy 1

“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance:  Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst.”
—  1 Timothy 1:15

I was blessed to have grown up in a Christian home… but so often I take my faith for granted.  While I have never physically persecuted Christians as Paul did… I’ve used my tongue to cut down others on more than one occasion. I’ve selfishly put my wants and needs before others.  Isn’t it glorious to be reminded that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst!

Father, forgive me for taking Christ’s sacrifice lightly.  Help me to always humbly recall your abundant grace and love!
