In 1 Peter 1, I see words and centuries’ trail seeking me out. Today, when I have no words of my own, I read about prophets searching, angels longing, faith shielding with God’s power. An inheritance that can never perish, a love that fills with inexpressible and glorious joy, and a redemption chosen before the creation of the world. No, no words of my own. Speechless.
When Peter writes, grace and peace be yours in abundance, I hold my arms high and open wide to receive. So thankful.
Father, your word lives and endures. Thank you for quieting my mind today and allowing me time to search your word and long for you and rejoice in you and your great power.
