Deuteronomy 18; Psalm 105; Isaiah 45; Revelation 15

I form the light and create darkness,
I make peace and create calamity;
I, the LORD, do all these things.’
“ Rain down, you heavens, from above,
And let the skies pour down righteousness;
Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation,
And let righteousness spring up together.
I, the LORD, have created it. (Isaiah 45:7,8)

Such power…such strength…such glory be unto Him.  Here again I find solace in God being the beginning of all and the omnipotent of everything.  His all consuming power is that which I lean and all I need to look toward as I face my life’s calamity.

Skies raining down…earth cracking under what’s deserved…salvation coming forth…righteousness springing up.  These are the word pictures of my life.

And there is no other God besides Me,
A just God and a Savior;
There is none besides Me.
“Look to Me, and be saved,
 All you ends of the earth!
 For I am God, and there is no other. (Isaiah 45:21,22)

Look and be saved.  So simple…yet so powerful.  There are no rules…there are no regulations, no prerequisites, no privilege, no deserving of any kind.  But look where?…there is only one place.  He is God…the only God…the only Savior upon which my soul can find rescue.  How simple…yet so powerful.

 Lord God, help me to focus everything I have on You…and only You.  For Your might and Your power are the only salvation for my humanity.  Oh how I have failed You in my pursuit…but yet You have never ceased Your pursuit of me.  Help me to look, see and reside in my salvation.
