Then Jesus declared I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:35

Right before the Passover, an eight day festival where the people would be eating not their normal bread, but one made without yeast, was the perfect time to introduce Jesus as the BREAD OF LIFE. Jesus identified his body with the Passover sacrifice where the blood of the lamb saved the Israelites. John the Baptist had already referred to Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. (John 1:29) But many people had such a hard time swallowing the concept of Jesus’ body and blood as bread and wine that leads to eternal life, that they stopped following him.

(Exodus 27)
When you accept Jesus and feed on the word of God, you are carbing up for life. We are preparing to react in Christ like ways to ungodly situations we can not foresee, but that God is getting us ready for ahead of time. He has given us everything we need to run the race of life marked out for us. (Heb12:1)
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
