Leviticus 5 – I sin, consciously or not. My sinful nature is a part of me. Only Jesus was sinless. I need a Priest to take my sins away from me. Lord God, You appointed only One to do that, Your Son Jesus the Christ. Jesus is the Source of my eternal salvation by Your design. There is no other alternative. How blessed am I to have present and eternal Hope because of You, Lord God!

Psalm 3+4, Proverbs 20 – Lord God, Your Presence, Word and Spirit shield, protect, and empower me. In my life, I see Your effect over and over again. I am powerless without You. But my fears still well up. I block out Your promises with my fleshly sight and hearing. I gaze upon the wind and waves instead of fearlessly gazing at You. (Matthew 14:22-33, Hebrews 12:2)
I fear for my health, personal relationships’ fulfillment, and the enemy’s evil effects in the world. The pervasive wickedness of people in the world is overwhelming, knowing they are going to hell. I deeply ache in pain within me for the depraved. V2. “How long, O men, will you turn My glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods?” How long will pride and corruption rule?
Drinking, anger, fights, laziness, manipulation and corruption, abortion, stealing, gossip, cursing, hating parents, revenge, v9. “Who can say, “I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin?” v27. Lord, You search the spirit of a man, his inmost being. V6. Show them You, Who are Good! Let the light of Your face shine upon us, O LORD. Please send more workers into the harvest!
Please have me and them not sin in anger, instead have us search our hearts with You when we are in our beds. Increase my Trust in You with Great Hope! (Thank You for telling me the end of the story! Revelation) I know that You have set apart the godly for Yourself. You hear me when I cry. You tell me that all I need is You. (Matthew 11:28-30) vs7-8. “You have filled my heart with greater joy … I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.”
Colossians 3 Lord, Your Word is so clear! And easy only IN Christ. Me, a new creation in Christ Jesus (2Cor 5:17), am to set my heart and mind on You and heaven’s agenda. (Matthew 6:33) My old life is dead so Christ can live in and through me!! I am to v5.”Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to Your earthly nature.”
I am chosen, holy and dearly loved. I am not to defile Your Temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and separated myself from Your sweet fellowship because of my selfish “rights”. I am to forgive, relinquish all debts I feel owed to me, for Your Good sake. You will repay, alone.
I am to clothe myself with Your character, letting Your peace, Word, wisdom and songs of gratitude fill and pour out of my heart!
My life verse – Whatever I do, I shall work at it with all my heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. You are my witness of One. My teacher, Potter, and very great Reward! (Genesis 15:1) It is You, Lord Christ, I choose to serve.
Prayer – Lord Jesus Christ, You bought me with Your blood, (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) paying the full debt of my sin to Your Father. The permanent Sacrifice for all of my sins, past, present and future!! Father, thank You for saving me from hell. For sending Your Son Jesus to shed His blood for my sin, guilt, shame, wickedness, and more. Oh!! How blessed I am!!! Legally free from guilt and shame in God’s sight! (Romans 8:1-4)
Now I am “chosen, holy and dearly loved” by You! I never have to pay for my sin! But I do need to confess the new ones to You for Your cleansing of my daily life. (Isaiah 1:18, 1 John 1:9)
Lord, I grieve for the unrepentant. The blind, proud, hateful, and their victims who suffer without You. Those who have no idea of mercy, grace, and forgiveness from You, or of their utter defilement before a Holy God. The deceived who have no concept of permanent hell awaiting them.
Lord, Your heart aches far more than mine. Your Son’s sacrifice is wasted on those who do not take You up on Your offer! It is too much for me to bear. I must rely on the fact that I am just Your daughter (highest privilege!!) and to live to please You Who pardoned me! To delight in You – and pray for those You love who do not yet know You. I gratefully depend on Your character. Send Your workers for the harvest!
Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. Isaiah 59:1
