Numbers 2; Psalm 36; Ecclesiastes 12; Philemon 1

“Remember now your creator in the days of your youth before the difficult days come.”
~Ecclesiastes 12:1

How often I have thought I wish I knew then what I know now and I remember how simple life was when I was a child.  Oh, to have those days back!

As a youth my days were not spent getting to know the Lord in a personal relationship.  I did not take the time when life was simpler to build my relationship with the Lord.  My relationship with Him has been built through the difficulties that He has sustained me through so that now in the good and bad times I turn to Him for guidance and comfort.  Oh, how I wish that I had also created a strong relationship with Him when times were simpler.  I may have avoided some of the scraps that I found myself in as an adult.

Through it all He is there; always faithful.

“Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the great mountains;
Your judgments are a great deep;
O Lord, You preserve man and beast.
~Psalm 36: 5-6
