Deuteronomy 20; Psalm 107; Isaiah 47; Revelation 17

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.  Psalm 107:1

I regularly screw up.  I waste time.  I am inattentive to my family.  I say things I shouldn’t say when I run into a door or stub my toe.  I’m not deserving of God’s love.

And yet I am reminded…

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

I feel the pressure to perform.  I need to come up with some profound insight and communicate it with stunning clarity (by 4 AM Eastern Daylight time!).

And all I can come up with is…

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

My mind is racing. I have a million things to do. Busy at work, busy at home.

I need to slow down and …

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Amidst the crazy pace of life and my desire to dig deeply to find the hidden truth, I think I often miss the simple truths.

Thank you, Lord, that you are SO good and that your love endures forever.

Now what was I so stressed out about?
