A sham of a trial, public humiliation and torture end in death on a cross. This is not how one would expect the world to be changed and yet, the order of the universe is altered for all time. God comes down and takes human form to pay the price for my sins. All the man made rules concerning power and control are turned upside down. A new kingdom is established. When Lord Jesus, will my heart truly submit to following your way? I am stubborn and want my way in my time. I slip away and run after lesser gods. Forgive me when I forget you and your sacrifice so easily. Thank you for your great love for me. May I treasure this above all else and be true to your calling to pick up my cross and follow you wherever that leads. Amen
