1 Kings 11; Phillipians 2; Ezekiel 41; Psalms 92,93

Watch your attitude!

What parent hasn’t said that to their children? Well, turns out our Heavenly Father tells us, His children, the very same thing in Phillipians today.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: …

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life… (Phillipians 2: 3-5, 14-16a)

So I need to listen to my Father, and if needed, do a little attitude adjustment. My testimony can be completely ruined through grumbling and complaining. I don’t want that to happen!

Do you know people who never complain or grumble? I only know very few, and they are a joy to be around. I can certainly say that they “shine like stars in the universe”. They definitely stand out.

Lord, help me take every thought captive. Help me have the attitude of Jesus, the attitude of a humble servant, who serves without grumbling or complaining.
