1 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” the things God has prepared for those who love him 10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
6 The Lord does whatever pleases him, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all their depths.
Being an Engineer has some shortcomings (only one or two – possibly three). The one causing me much angst at the moment is the reliance of wisdom for my faith. I’m quite good with the “Book Knowledge” of God! But, oh how I struggle with Faith born of the Spirit – the Faith built on the foundation of a Christ Centered Personal Relationship with the Creator of the universe. The logic of it all astounds me. I can’t get enough of it. The wonder of God, actually going out of His way to call me to Him, is just more than my mind can grasp. Since God can do whatever He pleases, I have to assume that He is in fact pleased to reach out to me. How can I not live every day with joy visibly spilling out of my life? It should be the primary focus of my life. I should find it easy to be in harmony with fellow believers. Why then do I forget this basic stuff, while actually living out my life? I’m sure it is because I am pursuing my mission instead of God’s Mission. I need a shift of focus in my life!
Father, I am so grateful that you can find pleasure in reaching out to lost sheep like myself. I want desperately to be there when You reveal all that You have prepared for those of us who love You. Reach out Your hand and guide my steps. Improve my faith, so that it is born of Your Spirit, resting on the foundation of Christ. Change my mission to be Your Mission! Elevate my actions so that I may bring glory to Your Name!
