Isaiah 47,48,49; Romans 9:1-15

And he is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. Romans 9:5b NLT.

Words of a savior, who writes names on the palms of his hands, in Isaiah.

Thoughts on God’s mercy and compassion on whom he chooses. Before we are born and have done anything good or bad–he loves. Romans.

I read of Babylon’s beauty and coming shame. Worthless idols, human wisdom and knowledge, astrology and all that wants to dethrone the Lord–he won’t stand it. Not then. Not today.

All of this stops me in my tracks, to put him first.

Lord, I pray that I would live my life with you always first. How do I keep you held high, when lesser things dance and distract me? Your word regains my focus. You are redeemer and savior–my name written in blood on your hands. I want to always remember this.
