Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Therefore, rejoice you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” Revelation 12:10-12
For if, you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14
Satan desired to destroy the nation of Israel through Haman. God placed Esther as Queen, precisely at that point in time, to rescue the Jews. If she had not acted, her family would have perished and a deliverer would have come from another place.
The nation of Israel gave birth to the Messiah, who gave his life for all mankind. Jesus, the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world, won the victory over sin and death. Even though the blood of the Lamb defeated Satan, the devil still roams about the earth, seeking to devour, kill and destroy. His hatred toward God’s people has not changed over the centuries. TV news has become his publicity department.
Our voices must not be feeble or hesitant in speaking the truth. Like Esther, we have a part to play in God’s plan to broadcast the Good News of salvation through His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. God desires that our neighbor, mechanic, grocer, co-worker, classmate etc. will not perish, but have everlasting life.
Today, God calls us to share Christ for such a time as this.

Just think, Esther was going about her queenly duties and female ways when Mordecai laid this heavy burden on her. We should all remember that we are meant for an eternal purpose – to bring good news to all who need salvation. That is serious business!
