2 Chron 30; Rev 16; Zech 12,13:1; John 15

One of my prayers for the new year has been for God to restore  broken relationships and areas in my own life. That Jesus will work in my heart to change me and refine me into the person that He has always intended me to be.

I, God, will begin by restoring the common households of Judah so that the glory of David’s family and the leaders in Jerusalem won’t overshadow the ordinary people in Judah.” Zechariah 12:7 MSG

Though many times I have tried, I know that I can’t do this on my strength…

I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with my and my words are at home with you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is – when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciple.” John 15:5-10 MSG

When I look back over the year I can see His faithfulness amidst the struggles and messiness.  I am thankful for a Father who forgives, who hears & answers my prayers…

Hezekiah prayed for these as follows: “May God who is all good, pardon and forgive everyone who sincerely desires God, the God of our ancestors…God responded to Hezekiah’s prayer and healed the people.” 2 Chronicles 30:19&20 MSG

Do I really take the time to stop celebrate what He has done? To savor, ponder & remember, just as the Israelite s did?(2 Chron 30:21 MSG). They held nothing back, giving all the Glory to God. I pray that I can remember the many miracles that Jesus has done in my life this year. And reflect and record them. Because, how quickly I forget where He has brought me…

Come and celebrate the Passover to Israel’s God in Jerusalem.” No one living had ever celebrated properly…Your God is gracious and kind and won’t snub you-come back and he’ll welcome you with open arms.” 2 Chron 30:5&9 MSG.

I want to live in anticipation of what He will do.

Keep Watch! I come unannounced, like a thief. You’re blessed if, awake and dressed, you’re ready for me.” Rev. 16:15MSG.

Dear Jesus, Thank you for humbling yourself and coming into this world as a baby. I celebrate that hope today! Thank you for the promise that You will return one day. I am so grateful for the restoration that You have already done in my life…Miracles. You are truly a God of new beginnings and fresh starts that I don’t deserve. I give You the Glory. Amen.
