1 Kings 12-13; Luke 24:36-53

Then the king answered and said to the man of God, “Please entreat the favor of the Lord your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me” So the man of God entreated the Lord, and the King’s hand was restored to him, and became as before.” 1 Kings 12:6 NKJV.   I am thankful that as God is in the process of restoring me I am changing into a different person.  He doesn’t leave me where I am.  He wants to make me more like Him.  He is changing my heart and refining me.  He is making me new and…

I won’t be the same as before.

My 6 year old son asked me if the world use to be black and white in the old days. He thinks that the world changed to color when the tv did. I got a good laugh at that. It also makes me think of how differently I will see the world one day. That it will be so much brighter and vivid than I could ever imagine. I am thankful for a God that sees me that way too. And loves me enough to draw me closer to Himself. To change me into someone that I could not dream up. Knowing the only way I was able to not just “get through” or “survive” something, but have victory in it was through His power.

He is restoring me to Himself

Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” But they were terrifried and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as I have.” When He said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish and some honeycomb. And He took it and ate in their presence.” Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which are written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” Luke 24:36-44 NKJV

Dear Jesus, Thank you that you don’t leave me where I am, but You desire to change me from the inside out. I love you. Amen
