Job seems to be pointing out everyone else sins, how many times have I done that? If not out loud, than in my head. But, than I see my own. When have I turned to other idols and smaller gods? When God is calling my heart back to His.
“There was a man named Cornelius…he was thoroughly a good man. He had led everyone in his house to live worshipfully before God, was always helping people in need, and had the habit of prayer. One day about three o’clock in the afternoon he had a vision. An angel of God, as real as his next-door neighbor, came in and said, “Cornelius.” Cornelius stared hard, wondering if he was seeing things. Help me to search for you Lord(Jer.29:13), like Cornelius searched for Peter and found him. I pray that I would be ready when You call me. That You would know I can be trusted to use for Your purposes. That my heart would be towards You. I don’t always feel adequate, but am reminded by Beth Moore that, “The very area where I am most tempted to distrust You is the very place You have most chosen to trust me.” Thank You Father that in my weakness, You are strong.
