Ezekiel 47&48; 1 John 1

This water flows east, descends to the Arabah and then into the sea, the sea of stagnant waters. When it empties into those waters, the sea will become fresh. Wherever the river flows, life will flourish-great schools of fish-because the river is turning salt sea into fresh water. Where the river flows, life abounds. But the river itself, on both banks, will grow fruit trees of all kinds. Their leaves won’t wither, the fruit won’t fail. Every month they’ll bear fresh fruit because the river from the Sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing.”Ezekiel 47:8&9,12MSG

Jehovah Rapha – The Lord my Healer

I am thankful for a God who promises to “heal my broken heart and bind up my wounds.”(Psalm 147:3) These verses give me hope. I am reminded that the only way to fully be healed is to let Jesus’s life flow through me. That His power is in me. The same power that raised Him from the dead(Romans 8:11).

This, in essence, is the message we heard from Christ and are passing on to you: God is light, pure light; there’s not a trace of darkness in him. If we claim we experience a shared life with him and continue to stumble around in the dark, we’re obviously lying through our teeth-we’re not living what we claim. But if we walk in the light, God himself being the light, we also experience a shared life with one another, as the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purges all our sin.” 1 John 1:5-7MSG

“In the darkest times of your life, your praise to God should be the loudest. Let the enemy know you’re not afraid of the dark.” Stormie Omartian. This quote hit home for me. I don’t want to stumble around in the darkness(1 John). But instead, shine light into it. And when I don’t know what to do, call out to God in prayer. I have read some of Stormie Omartian’s books about prayer. “The Power of a Praying Wife,” “The Power of a Praying Parent.” In them I am reminded that prayer is not a passive thing, but that God hears. Even when I am still waiting on the answer.

Thank you Father for your faithfulness in my life. For hearing my prayers. For answering me. I am grateful for who You are. And for Your presence. Amen.

From now on the name of the city will be

YAHWEH-SHAMMAH: GOD-IS-THERE.” Ezekiel 48:35 MSG
