Numbers 15-18; Psalm 113; Colossions 3

When Moses heard what they were saying, he fell down on the ground. Then he said to Korah and his followers, “Tomorrow morning the Lord will show us who belongs to him and who is holy. The Lord will allow only those whom he selects to enter his own presence. Korah, you and all your followers must prepare your incense burners. Light fires in them tomorrow, and burn incense before the Lord. Then we will see who the Lord chooses as his holy one. You Levites are the ones who have gone too far!” Numbers 16:4-7 NLT

Not everyone could enter the Lord’s presence.

From now on, no Israelites except priests or Levites may approach the Tabernacle. If they come too near, they will be judged guilty and die.” Numbers 18:22 NLT

I forget to be thankful that I can freely enter, because of Jesus. The only rules or regulations are the ones of my own doing. When in reality, I have the Holy Spirit living inside of me. Sometimes I lose sight of what a gift I’ve been given. Instead, I want to run or hide. But, God is waiting patiently, pursing me.

How quickly I can lose my eternal perspective.

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.” Colossians 3:1-4 NLT

When I am in His presence, my burdens are lifted. Why do I resist it? I am reminded of a book I am reading called, “Own Your Life,” by Sally Clarkson. In it, she says, “Rarely do I meet women who are unburdened, who choose to live in freedom, grace, and beauty. But when I do, I feel that I have been in the presence of Jesus.”

Who can be compared with the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high? He stoops to look down on heaven and on earth. He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people!”Psalm 113:5-8 NLT

Dear Jesus, thank  you for saving me. Help me to live my life as a sweet aroma to You.(Numbers 15:3). I desire to yearn for Your presence above all else. Amen.
