We celebrated Easter, or Resurrection Sunday, a few days ago. This particular year left me feeling very grateful. I echo the words of the psalmist:
“I love the Lord because He hears my voice and my
supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me.
Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.”
(Psalms 116:1-2 ESV)
As a family, we saw a show on Jesus’ life that was very true to the Biblical account. During the scene about Palm Sunday, the actor who played Jesus came riding on his donkey down the aisle. He looked my children right in the eyes with this kindness and gentleness in his eyes that was very endearing. Gave me a glimpse of how the real Jesus will look at us. I can’t wait!
“As soon as He was approaching, near the descent of the
Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of the disciples began
to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles
which they had seen, shouting:
‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord;
Peace in Heaven and glory in the highest!’” (Luke 19:37-38)
Thank You for the sacrifice you made for us by dying on the cross and the hope of salvation You give us by rising from the grave. Help us to celebrate Resurrection Sunday every day of our lives.
Amen, Kellie
