The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet about Pharoah’s army and about King Nebuchadnezzar, both out to get Egypt. And in the end, through Jeremiah’s prophecy, told of Egypt’s restoration.
“But fear not, O Jacob my servant, nor be dismayed, O Israel, for behold, I will save you from far away, and your offspring from the land of their captivity. Jacob shall return and have quiet and ease, and none shall make him afraid. Fear not, O Jacob my servant, declares the Lord, for I am with you. I will make a full end of all the nations to which I have driven you, but of you I will not make a full end. I will discipline you in just measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.” (Jeremiah 46;27-28 ESV)
Peter confirms that the prophetic word is real and was used as a way for God to speak to us.
“And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Peter 1:19-21 ESV)
As we search the scriptures, may be easily find that the prophecies have been fulfilled by the Son. He is who the prophecies said He is.
