John 4:39-6:51

What are your thoughts and feelings about sharing your faith with others? Have you tried memorizing a plan you could use when talking with someone? Have you gone door to door talking with strangers about your faith? I’ve done all that stuff and it brings a knot up in my throat when I think of it. It’s not an easy thing to think about or do!

The beginning of our passage today gives us a different way, a better plan. The Samaritan woman was just sharing her story. Read it here:

39 Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me all that I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days. 41 And many more believed because of his word. 42 They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.” (John 4:39-42 [ESV])

He told me all that I ever did! She told her story. We all have a story to tell. And all of our stories are different, but all come from the mind and will of God. What’s your story?

My mom led me to a saving knowledge of Jesus when I was just six years old. One night before going to bed she led me in a simple prayer and I became a follower of Christ. There have been many ups and downs in my life, but I have never doubted God’s love for me. He has been faithful and never has left me to my own devices. I would encourage you to trust Him today. He’ll never leave you and will be with you through all eternity. Will you trust Him today?

So what is your story? As encouragement to me and others who read this blog would you share just a piece of it below in the comments? See it takes no prep or memorizing. Just tell your story.

Father God, thank you for giving us all a story. Thank you for saving us from eternal separation from you. Thank you for continuing to develop our stories as we follow you. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
