“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”

1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What a beautiful word for the day after Christmas. The birth of Jesus is the end of the beginning of the world and the beginning of the end that moves us closer to eternity. The Love that God has for us compels us to love.

Do you know the love of God? Do you feel His love for you?

The Bible is full of stories of Gods love. It’s as if He is telling us in hundreds of ways how much he loves us. When we read about David, we can read Gods love, when we read about Mary, we feel Gods love, when we read about Jesus we can be confident of Gods love.

If you love someone in your life, thank God for that gift because He gave the ability to love to you.

Dear God, on this day after we celebrate the birth of your son we continue to remember Him and His work and teachings. Thank you for that greatest gift. Thank you for the presence of your Love with us. May we follow you and love others well. Amen.
