Amy (amyctanner) I am thankful for how 66 Books has given me a place to stay in God’s Word and to share what he is doing in my life. Like I am sitting down to have a cup of coffee with a friend. I am always amazed how my scripture readings relate to something I am going through. He always meets me where I am. Whether it be in the middle of the chaos of being a mom of four, struggles that refine me, answered prayers … the list goes on. One of my favorite verses from the Message is, “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.” Proverbs 3:5-6, MSG.
Ann (naturelady) Christ-Follower. Wife (married 30 years). Mother of seven. Grandmother of one. Home educator. Occupational therapist. Blogger (www.skippingston.es). Director of Timbernook of Greater Baltimore. So many titles, but woven through all of them is a desire to participate in God’s story in my realm of influence. I love spending time outdoors and encouraging others to do so – I think it is such a tangible way to see God’s character as it heals, grows, calms and brings us to a place of awe and wonder. Looking forward to growing closer to God with you as we journey through His Word this year.
Cindy (gardnlady) I am a mother, grandmother, traveler, and gardener. I did not become a Christ follower until much later in life. When I was at the lowest point in my life, God reached out His hand and pulled me to Himself! Because of His tenacious love, He has healed years of brokenness, helped me forgive past hurts, restored relationships, and given me peace that I never thought possible. He has taught me so much over the years—things about Him, things about me, and things about how He always meant for life to be lived. My prayer is that He will use me to point the way to Him so others can find the freedom only Jesus can offer us.
Courtney (66books365) Word lover. Coffee drinker. Home maker. Excited for a ninth year reading through the Bible. I believe anyone can open the Bible, and God will meet them wherever they are. He is in the business of transforming lives, and making beauty rise from dirt and ashes.
Diona (dionak1) As the mom of two sets of twins, you will often find me on a sports field cheering on one (or two) of them. I have been an Army wife for most of my 23 year marriage. To feed my creative side, I sew and have a passion for quilting. I love to read and learn new things. My deepest desire is to know God better through His Word and the Holy Spirit. I want to grow in my love for Him and gratefulness for His grace.
Erwin (evanlaar1922) I think of Jacob wrestling with the ‘angel’ until he was blessed when I think of how I have wrestled with God’s Word until He has changed me. So my life is not a journey, but more like an adventure as He thrusts me into new pursuits and challenges me into knowing His heart. I know only one thing – He walks with me and talks with me as I walk this path of following Him. And because He holds me with His strong right hand and protects and comforts me on some of my saddest moments, I have a testimony to His hope, peace, joy and love. May my adventure through the Word of God be as powerful for you as it will be for me in 2017.
Greg (gstefanelli) God has blessed me in so many ways that I’m left shaking my head asking why? I continue to make mistakes knowing, as Paul spoke in Romans 7:18, the right thing to do, and often don’t! I know that turning to my Father in Heaven more regularly that I’m making fewer mistakes. This blog offers me an opportunity for transparency by relating experiences and reflection through God’s Word from the heart of a man who is after God’s heart. I am a father of two amazing daughters, use God’s gifts as a teacher and problem solver. I am excited to see how God will use me in this coming year. Please join me on this journey.
Janet (jansuwilkinson) Bride of Christ 36 years and married to my husband for 38; grandparent to a first year college student; licensed professional counselor working with those who suffer from addictions, trauma, and mental health issues. I study the Word of God to dig deeper into the undeserved gifts of salvation, mercy, and grace. Always seeking, never satisfied, and at times, “surprised by joy” as my favorite author, C.S. Lewis penned. Reading and writing allows me to daily respond to Scripture for the purpose of self-edification and testifying to God’s goodness and lovingkindness. My hope is in the Kingdom to come and my prayer is “Lord, come quickly!”
Katie (kateredding) As a wife, mom of three, and lover of Jesus, I know the importance of spending time in God’s word. I have found that spending time with Jesus in the early morning hours, before the kids awake and the to-do list lengthens, is paramount to the success of my day. After walking through a near death experience in 2013 I have seen firsthand how Jesus turns ashes to beauty and does amazing things with those who choose to follow hard after him. Anointed, transformed, redeemed, freed, loved, amazed and honored to be part of the Lord’s kingdom work, I am looking forward to seeing what he will do in the lives of my family and friends in 2017.
Kathy (klueh) Follower of Christ, wife and mother of two adult children. Loves to read, hike, bike, swim and cook. I’ve read thru the Bible multiple times, but it’s new with every reading. One of the things that I love about God is that He shows His love in some of the most unexpected and unlikely places, not just in the Bible, but in my everyday life.
Kellie Wife of 15 years and mother to 3 children. Kindergarten teacher at a Christian school. Believer since childhood but did not study the Bible until age 30. Through reading the Word, He confirms His faithfulness in the good times and teaches me through the trials. It’s a wonderful journey!
Lanie (guest) I am in eighth grade, and I was baptized this past summer. This is my first time on 66 Books. I am learning how to play the guitar, and I have been learning how to play the piano for many years. Also, I have Celiac disease, so I’m gluten free. My word for the year this year is influence, so I hope to influence people to follow God through 66 Books and in everything else I do.
Neil (amasains) I am so excited to be joining in on the 66 Books in a Year journey with you all this year. I’m just as excited to be part of the few who get to share what awesome things God does through His word in our lives every day. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for us all this year as we read together. May we all be blessed through His word as we be a blessing to Him!
Rebecca (offeringsbecca) I am so blessed to write at 66books this year. This will be the first time I am participating in something like this and I am eager for all I will gain in Jesus! Wife, Mama, Home Educator, Word Lover. The Lord is continually leading me down deeper trails of trusting Him and I desire my heart’s response to always stretch to receive what He has for me and then spill that out for others. You can find me at Offerings (www.rlfb.wordpress.com) where I blog gratitude, grace, and gifts; where the Lord continually transforms my heart.
