Amy (amyctanner) I am thankful for how 66 Books has given me a place to stay in God’s Word and to share what he is doing in my life. Like I am sitting down to have a cup of coffee with a friend. I am always amazed how my scripture readings relate to something I am going through. He always meets me where I am. Whether it be in the middle of the chaos of being a mom of four, struggles that refine me, answered prayers … the list goes on. One of my favorite verses from the Message is, “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.” Proverbs 3:5-6, MSG.
Cindy (gardnlady) I am a mother, grandmother, traveler, and gardener. I did not become a Christ follower until much later in life. When I was at the lowest point in my life, God reached out His hand and pulled me to Himself! Because of His tenacious love, He has healed years of brokenness, helped me forgive past hurts, restored relationships, and given me peace that I never thought possible. He has taught me so much over the years—things about Him, things about me, and things about how He always meant for life to be lived. My prayer is that He will use me to point the way to Him so others can find the freedom only Jesus can offer us.
Courtney (66books365) I’m a word lover at heart–from language and literature in college, an editor and long-form copy writer in advertising (before I became a mom), to a homeschool mom and Bible reader. 66 Books has been a dear discipline to abide in Christ and the Word.
Dave (dmbaldwin) Dave has been in pastoral ministry for 41 years and is now roasting coffee with his daughter who has Down syndrome. He is married to Louise and they have three adult children and four grandchildren. Dave had been a contributor to 66 Books in the past and looks forward to this year of reading through the Bible with all the rest of you. Comments to his posts are welcome.
Erwin (evanlaar1922) I think of Jacob wrestling with the ‘angel’ until he was blessed when I think of how I have wrestled with God’s Word until He has changed me. So my life is not a journey, but more like an adventure as He thrusts me into new pursuits and challenges me into knowing His heart. I know only one thing – He walks with me and talks with me as I walk this path of following Him. And because He holds me with His strong right hand and protects and comforts me on some of my saddest moments, I have a testimony to His hope, peace, joy and love. May my adventure through the Word of God be as powerful for you as it will be for me in 2017.
Kellie Wife of 15 years and mother to 3 children. Kindergarten teacher at a Christian school. Believer since childhood but did not study the Bible until age 30. Through reading the Word, He confirms His faithfulness in the good times and teaches me through the trials. It’s a wonderful journey!
Lanie (llilly2017) I am in high school, and this is my second time on 66 Books. I am learning how to play the guitar, and I’ve played the piano for many years. Also, I have Celiac disease, so I’m gluten free. I hope to influence people to follow God through 66 Books and in everything else I do.
Nathanael (nborger2017) I am grateful for the opportunity to write at 66books in 2018. I am 16 years old, in 11th grade, a Life Scout, and play Cello. I am excited to participate and contribute to this site and am looking forward to writing and reading here over the next year.
