Amy (amyctanner) I have been writing for 66 Books since 2012. I am so grateful for this community and how it has kept me grounded in God’s Word. I am a blessed wife and mom to four kids. I have picked up my paint brush this year and started painting again. It has been fulfilling to me to use my gifts for his kingdom. I love how he speaks to me through art, worship music and his word. He is always speaking if I am listening. I am excited to see what he will be teaching me through His Word this year.
Asher (AsherB) I am seventeen years old, a Life Scout, and an avid piano player. I am grateful for the opportunity to join 66 Books this year, and I am very excited to take a deeper look at the Bible.
Cindy (gardnlady) I am a mother, grandmother, traveler, and gardener. As I read through the bible this year, I look forward to the new truths God will reveal from familiar words. Each day I am in the Word, He challenges me to transform. God and I have come a long way together and He continues to draw out and heal brokenness in me. My prayer is that I will share what He teaches me and point the way to Him so others can find the freedom only Jesus can offer us. This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.” (Isa 48:17 NLT) .
Courtney (66books365) I want to know the truth for myself. I’m thankful for the privilege and freedom to access God’s Word and meditate on it every day. Getting to know my God and His Word is one of the greatest joys I can know this side of heaven, and I choose to make room for that in my life. I seek to live in purpose, on purpose. My word of the year for 2020 is value; I am ordering my life to champion the things I value and to add value to my community. My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek (Psalm 27:8, NIV).
Dave (dmbaldwin) Dave has been in pastoral ministry for 41 years and is now roasting coffee with his daughter who has Down syndrome. He is married to Louise and they have three adult children and four grandchildren. Dave had been a contributor to 66 Books in the past and looks forward to this year of reading through the Bible with all the rest of you. Comments to his posts are welcome.
Erin (6intow) Craving to see God’s Word applied to each facet of my life, I look forward to another year of coming alongside other believers on 66 Books. I treasure the application of Scripture to my Christian walk, my marriage of 25 years, parenting 6 kids, homeschooling, and whatever else seasons my life with along the way. Each year God faithfully shows Himself much more than I realized the year before. Excited to see Him prove this all over again in the year ahead.
Erwin (evanlaar1922) I think of Jacob wrestling with the ‘angel’ until he was blessed when I think of how I have wrestled with God’s Word until He has changed me. So my life is not a journey, but more like an adventure as He thrusts me into new pursuits and challenges me into knowing His heart. I know only one thing – He walks with me and talks with me as I walk this path of following Him. And because He holds me with His strong right hand and protects and comforts me on some of my saddest moments, I have a testimony to His hope, peace, joy and love. May my adventure through the Word of God be as powerful for you as it will be for me in 2020.
Kellie (mmattixx) Wife of 15 years and mother to 3 children. Kindergarten teacher at a Christian school. Believer since childhood but did not study the Bible until age 30. Through reading the Word, He confirms His faithfulness in the good times and teaches me through the trials.
Mandy (mkbaldwin) “That which is most personal, is most universal.” (Henri Nouwen) We are not alone in life. Mandy is currently a Therapist working with couples and adolescents in Noblesville, IN. Previous to therapy, Mandy was a pastor for over 15 years. Twelve of those years she worked with youth and their families. Mandy is single and loves spending her free time with friends.
Nathanael (nborger2017) I am grateful for the opportunity to write for 66 Books in 2020. I am 18 years old, an Eagle Scout, a Freshman at Lehigh University and play the cello in the Lehigh Philharmonic. I am excited to be back and am looking forward to another year of reading and writing with this community.
Rebecca (offeringsbecca) It is my joy to write for 66 Books in 2020. God is always faithful to meet with me through the Scripture readings and provide precious evidences of grace. I am a writer, word lover, home educator, wife, mother, and English/Writing tutor (also coffee drinker, tea lover, and chocolate connoisseur). I homeschool my treasured, large family under that beautiful Maryland sky.
