Leviticus 18:2, Psalm 22:30-31, Ecclesiastes 1:11, 1 Timothy 3:16

Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the LORD your God. Leviticus 18:2

Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn— for he has done it. Psalm 22:30-31

There is no remembrance of men of old, and even those who are yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow. Ecclesiastes 1:11

Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

I am registered on the website of Latin singer Chayanne, along with forty thousand other fans. Though his career has spanned over thirty years, I only recently discovered him in my efforts to improve my Spanish pronunciation.

Blessed with a sculptured visage, he has an incredible talent for making every woman within range of his voice feel like a princess. But eventually the feeling fades like a summer breeze and we are forced to return for a fresh breath of air.

The tears began to well when I realized Psalm 22 described Christ’s feelings as he was crucified. Belief in Jesus brings eternal salvation. Following Christ leads to sanctification. We are his royal priesthood. He reigns forever. His kingdom has no end. With Christ there is no chasing after the wind. He is the very air we breathe.

Oh Lord God, may I follow hard after you.
