Proverbs 16-18 & Romans 15

The book of Proverbs offers words of wisdom for our lives. Since we are in graduation season, here are some of the passages that stood out to me for young adults as they begin their next chapter.

Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3 ESV)

The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.” (Proverbs 16:33 ESV)

Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.” (Proverbs 17:27 ESV)

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.” (Proverbs 18:10 ESV)

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24 ESV)

To all of the graduates out there, put God first and all the rest will fall into place.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13 ESV)
