Contributors 2024

Amy (amyctanner) I have been writing for 66 Books since 2012. I am so grateful for this community and how it has kept me grounded in God’s Word.  I am a blessed wife and mom to four kids.  I started painting again.  It has been fulfilling to me to use my gifts for his kingdom. I love how he speaks to me through art, worship music and his word. He is always speaking if I am listening. I am excited to see what he will be teaching me through His Word this year.

Carol (carolvorw) I am an empty nester with a man friend, one son and his wife, and four granddogs. I work as an accountant from home four days per week and go into the office on Fridays. I grew up in the church, but it never became personal to me until I was in my 30’s. Me and God the Father, Jesus the Son, and The Holy Spirit have walked through many things and have even fought a fierce battle. But each incident has drawn me closer and closer to their hearts. I look forward to seeing how they help me on this adventure!

Courtney (66books365) I’ve been reading through the Bible since 2009, and I’m grateful to study God’s Word alongside really dedicated people. I live life in purpose, on purpose–choosing to make Bible reading a regular part of my week. I also run– a lot.

Dave (dmbaldwin) I was in pastoral ministry for 41 years. I also work with a coffee roaster in Indianapolis, IN where we now live. I’m married to Louise, and we have three adult children and four grandchildren. I have been a contributor to 66 Books for a while now, and I look forward to this year of reading through the Bible with all the rest of you. I welcome and encourage comments to my posts!

Erin (6intow) As I continue to write on 66 Books, I often marvel at God’s faithfulness to open my eyes to fresh insight and conviction. The Bible has profound relevance to my daily life as a believer of 46 years, wife of 29 years, mom of 6 kids ages 12 through 25, and soon to be grandma. I recently wrote and published a book, The Original Underdog, retelling the story of David and Goliath while constantly exploring the truth that the battle is the Lord’s. Regardless of the victories or trials this year may bring, I am thankful for God’s word to light the way with its steadfast wisdom.

Erwin (evanlaar1922) I think of Jacob wrestling with the ‘angel’ until he was blessed when I think of how I have wrestled with God’s Word until He has changed me. So my life is not a journey, but more like an adventure as He thrusts me into new pursuits and challenges me into knowing His heart. I know only one thing – He walks with me and talks with me as I walk this path of following Him. And because He holds me with His strong right hand and protects and comforts me on some of my saddest moments, I have a testimony to His hope, peace, joy and love.

Janet (jansuwilkinson) God created us so unbelievably complex. As an addiction counselor, I am privileged to hear and hold in trust the unique stories of immortal beings whom God loves. When reflecting on my own journey, I am curious about the narrative, the timing, the burst of meaning, the unanswered enigmas of every day. Yet there is one simple truth: love is why we are here. Reading and spilling ink with fellow writers of 66 Books this year 2024 promises to be no exception to discovering this divine love found on page after page of God’s Word. Lead us in, Lord Jesus!

Kellie (mmattixx) Wife and mother to 3 children. Kindergarten teacher at a Christian school. Believer since childhood but did not study the Bible until age 30. Through reading the Word, He confirms His faithfulness in the good times and teaches me through the trials.
